redeeming the time

It's a new year and time for some changes in the Miller household. One of those changes just happens to be the decision to back away from social networking via Facebook and to turn towards a more productive use of our time. We're hoping that by using this blog, we will be able to "redeem" some valuable time. I guess only time will tell if it turns out to be a good decision. Our goal with this blog (speaking for both Logan and myself) is to make it easier for our friends and family to keep up with us, while cutting back significantly on time spent idly on Facebook. Over the holidays we received multiple complaints about our failure to keep everyone updated on our day-to-day lives. Our goal is to update once a week, letting everyone know the highlights of the past week, good and bad, and areas that we need encouragement and prayer.
On a side note, we will soon be combining our Facebook's into one: "Logan-Haylee Miller" to help keep each other accountable in "redeeming the time." We will still be checking it periodically, but it will by no means remain a primary form of communication.
We are so excited for this new year and the ways that God is going to work in our hearts.

"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light... and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness... Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."
Ephesians 5:8, 10, 15-16
